U3A Day
Jun 3 all-day
U3A Day
Wednesday 3 June 2020
We know the value of the U3A to our lives, and the part each U3A plays in contributing to the quality of life of Third Agers within our communities. Let’s help to draw attention to what is available for Third Agers across the country through the experience of U3A.
There are many U3As who have already set up Working Groups and started identifying plans for Wednesday 3 June 2020, our first national U3A Day.
Regional Trustee Sue Stokes, who is helping to coordinate the day said, “This is the opportunity for every U3A – individually or in groupings – to help deliver one of the objectives of the Third Age Trusts Development Plan to Raise the Profile of the U3A Movement.

“How many times have we heard the response “U3A – what’s that?” On National U3A Day members are encouraged to showcase what happens in their U3A, challenging negative perceptions of older adults and inviting other Third Agers in the community to learn about the contribution U3A makes to the quality of life of retired people.”

To help you to prepare for June 3, the national website has a dedicated section here
Early in the New Year we will be sending details of how to register your participation in U3A Day
